I just recently purchased this item and was amazed at how enormous it looks in real life, it is much taller than what it seems like (proportionally) in the photo. It is easy to set up, took about thirty minutes to set up, and is easier to set up without the directions. My three female Rats fit perfectly in this cage, its large enough for them to climb around, and plenty of room on the shelf areas along with the bottom pan. My female rats are about three months old and they cannot squeeze through the bars, allowing security for me.
