I was looking for a nicer set of bowls for my cat and this is perfect. I use one bowl for dry food and the other for the wet food he gets at night (he is spoiled and has a fountain for water, which I bought on Amazon too Drinkwell Original Pet Fountain and highly recommend).
He still makes a mess with his dry food by getting it all over the floor, but a good function of these bowls is that you don't have to pick them up when you're doing a quick sweep.
